It is common to underestimate stretching, but it could be the most accessible means to always stay in shape. Stretching ensures the joints mobility. It improves flexibility, prevents roughening of muscles and increases the ligaments elasticity among other benefits.
In the young age stretching exercises facilitate the harmonious development of the body and help form a proper posture. In the later years they are essential to preserve flexibility and prevent back pain and arm and leg pain.
Post-workout stretches are especially beneficial. If you don’t stretch, you lose flexibility, don’t feel as good and your workouts aren’t as effective. Stretching also speeds up the processes of recovery while alleviating soreness of the muscles.
